For more than 50 years, IFP Motion Solutions Inc. has been a trusted partner to industrial manufacturers and mobile integrators. Headquartered in Cedar Rapids with regional locations in Minneapolis, Kansas City and Houston, we serve a 13-state footprint. Our expertise spans hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, electrification, and fluid conveyance.

Our History

1972

Takes on John Deere as the largest early customer. Named Iowa Fluid Power in 1974.

1980

Named exclusive Sun distributor in Iowa, launching IFP into mobile market focus. Currently Sun’s largest distributor globally, selling approx. $50m mobile market.

1985

Began manufacturing power units and electronic systems.

1986

Became early innovator in digital closed loop control systems. Most competitors used analog.

1993

Incorporated EHA (now MSI) engineering division to concentrate on controls and manufacturing.

2002

Purchased our North location in Minneapolis, MN, expanding our territories to include Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

2003

Purchased our West location in Olathe, KS, expanding our territories to include Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

2011

Purchased our South location in Houston, TX, expanding our territories to include Texas and Louisiana.

2021

Completed a 48,000 sq ft addition to IFP headquarters, creating “World Class” facility as a motion control distributor. Also new 3x larger location in Olathe, KS.

2024

Purchased Clarkson Power Flow, expanding our capabilities in fluid conveyance. Fabricate pumps, hose & tube assemblies.
