Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Lean Manufacturing Specialist to lead and support continuous improvement efforts across our production assembly, testing, and machining operations. This role will be instrumental in analyzing current processes, leading quality initiatives, and driving Lean improvements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a Lean environment, a strong foundation in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles, and a passion for using data to drive decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct current state studies in production assembly, testing, and machining
  • Gather, analyze, and graph performance metrics to support visibility and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain visual management boards to display key metrics and progress.
  • Create clear, concise reports outlining current state findings and collaborate with leadership to define future state strategies.
  • Lead regular quality meetings in key operational areas; document and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Collect and compile quality-related data for use in quarterly reports and management presentations.
  • Support and facilitate Lean and Six Sigma tools across the organization (e.g., 5S, standard work, root cause analysis, Kaizen events).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal coach for Lean best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Formal training in Lean Manufacturing or certified in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred).
  • Proven experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment, with demonstrated use of Lean tools.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel and reporting software.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor and engaging with operators and leadership alike.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience with developing visual management tools and performance dashboards.
  • Background in leading or supporting quality improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with machining and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting.
